$30,000 toward the expansion of the Latino Family Resource Center, assisting Southside Latino families to engage in the Madison community by providing access to bilingual services and center programming

$165,000 toward the construction of the Ice Age Junction bicycles/pedestrian underpass to connect to the Military Ridge State Trail
Domestic Abuse Intervention Services
$24,845 toward the DELTA Leadership Initiative, a community based project bringing together various partners to end dating violence and sexual assaults in Dane County
Employment & Training Association
$50,000 toward the Occupational Skills Training program to expand and improve the provision of vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities
Friends of McFarland Parks
$50,000 toward the Schuetz park land purchase, providing an additional 18.8 acres of land to create a passive use, community park dedicated to wildlife preservation, conservancy and nature study
Friends of Pheasant Branch
$20,000 toward the John C. Bock Community Forest Restoration project, to transfer the former agricultural land into an oak woods and oak savanna over the next decade
Habitat for Humanity
$100,000 challenge grant toward the creation of a permanent endowment fund in celebration of their 20th anniversary
Henry Vilas Zoological Society
$80,000 toward the construction of a new Arctic Passage Habitat, including an interactive polar bear/seal exhibit with a unique underwater viewing area
Interfaith Hospitality Network
$150,000 toward the Housing & Hope program, an initiative to purchase, renovate and endow 30 new units of affordable rental housing for homeless families with incomes below 30% CMI
Kennedy Heights Community Center
$30,000 toward the expansion and improvement of their technology center and programming, with $10,000 designated to create an endowment fund to sustain the lab
Madison Ballet
$45,000 toward the 2008 production of “Peter Pan” with new choreography, thrilling flying sequences and collaboration with the Ho-Chunk Nation on Native American cultural elements of the ballet
Madison Museum of Contemporary Art
$50,000 toward the commission of a bronze cast of American artist George Segal’s “Depression Bread Line,” to be displayed as part of MMoCA’s permanent collection
Madison Public Library Foundation
$200,000 toward the children’s area of the new Sequoya Branch, the busiest library in the South Central Library System
Madison Repertory Theatre
$45,000 to grow the Young Playwrights Program, a one-year residency program for high schools students to engage in the dramatic writing of a short play
Movin’ Out, Inc.
$60,000 toward a merger with WISH, Inc. (Wisconsin Initiative for Sustainable Housing), increasing the capacity to provide affordable and unique housing solutions
Music for Verona
$25,646 as a matching gift toward the purchase of a concert grand piano to be housed at the Verona Area High School Performing Arts Center for a variety of Verona area groups to utilize
REAP
$60,000 for the Wisconsin Homegrown Lunch program, a farm-to-school program designed to provide solutions to connect school children with fresh local foods as part of their school meal program
Urban League of Greater Madison
$100,000 to the Center for Economic Development capital campaign as part of the Villager Mall redevelopment and $50,000 for their Workforce Development program
